Missouri Women’s Business Center Continues Funding After 5 Years

In Missouri, a business center has reached its 5 year anniversary celebrating its work for women entrepreneurs. The Missouri business center has contributed to over 50 businesses and invited them to a ribbon-cutting at The Atrium on Tenth. Like many businesses, the business center had a rough time adjusting to the COVID pandemic.

The director of the Missouri women business center, Jessie Yankee said, “When COVID first hit we were working around the clock to get the latest info out to the clients to make sure they knew what was going on”.

Now, the program has proved to be effective as they have worked with over 1,500 women entrepreneurs in Missouri. Their resources has helped women entrepreneurs excel in their business ventures. One women, Star’s Brides owner Star Simmons says that the business center gave her a lot of information.

Where Does Missouri Women Business Center Provide Funding?

Currently, the Missouri Women Business Center is allocating funds to women who are in the nearby area. This area includes the counties; Audrain, Callaway, Cooper, Cole, Boone, Howard, Osage, and Moniteau. This funding program proved beneficial especially during the COVID times.

“I think that the importance of the Women’s Business Center is they had a network of people to help them,” Yankee said.
