The United Way of Acadiana made an announcement Friday that nominations are now open. The 2021 Women Who Mean Business Awards is set to extend their nominations to August 22, 2021. The women awards ceremony is scheduled to be held on October 13 at 6:00pm. The location of this special women’s award is at Le Pavilion in Lafayette.
The areas that women cover tend to be around business, law, medicine, education, hospitality, retail and more. Natalie Lemoine is the Sr. Vice President for Home Bank which supports United’s Way. She said in an interview, “We’re proud to continue our support of United Way’s Women Who Mean Business. United Way has found a meaningful way of honoring those women who are powerhouses in our community, and we want to champion those efforts,”
Women Who Mean Business Awards Requirements
The requirements to become a nomination in the Women Who Mean Business Awards is fairly simple. The nominations are for women who have made a large impact in their workplaces who reside near the United Way of Acadiana’s service area.
Carlee Alm-LaBar is the CEO and President of United Way of Acadiana. In an interview she says, “The Women Who Mean Business Awards give our community a chance to celebrate those women in our region who are advancing our community with their efforts every day, and we are proud to play a small part in recognizing their achievements.”
